In consequence of the fire breakout that occurred at the Diagnostic Consultation Center 3 in the city of Devnya on July 7^th, Heidelberg Materials Devnya became actively involved in the restoration of the premises of the medical establishment – corridors and patient areas. 

Employees from the plant and the head office of Heidelberg Materials Bulgaria took part in an organized volunteering campaign together with the staff of Devnya Municipality. The social initiative targeted to improve the local environment in the municipal park, the surrounding area, and the Pensioners’ Club in the city. 

On World Environment Day, the teams of Heidelberg Materials Devnya and Heidelberg Materials Vulkan joined forces to make a significant contribution to improve the surrounding green environment and the team spirit of the employees.

The pilot installation for capturing of CO2 emissions has entered its construction phase and this milestone moment has been celebrated on 16 October in the plant of Heidelberg Materials in Devnya, Bulgaria.
