HeidelbergerBeton Bulgaria commissions its first ready-mixed concrete plant in Varna

In 2018, the Devnya Cement plant in Bulgaria celebrated it’s 60th anniversary. The same year, a new business line was launched with commissioning of the first ready-mixed concrete plant on 26.06.2018.
Under the brand name HeidelbergerBeton Bulgaria, with the typical green corporate colour, the new ready-mixed concrete plant is located in the city of Varna on the Black Sea, around 30 km from Devnya Cement. 

“Our main goal is to establish our presence in the Varna market and become a brand synonymous with quality and perfect customer service,” says Ready-mixed Concrete Business Manager Nikolay Anestiev. “After establishing the brand presence, we will be able to work towards expanding our market footprint.”

The new plant has a projected output of 100 cubic metres of concrete per hour and a broad certified product portfolio. It has one of best automated control systems in the sector and meets all the latest environmental protection standards.
“We are very excited to develop the new ready-mixed concrete business line in Bulgaria,” adds Giovanni D’Ambrosio, Business Development Manager for the project. “It is all the more important since Devnya Cement has been the market leader for 60 years, but only for cement and clinker.”
