Participation of Heidelberg Materials Bulgaria JSC in Forums in 2025

In 2025, Heidelberg Materials Bulgaria was represented at key European forums by Konstantin Bojinov, who took an active part in high‑level discussions focused on
decarbonisation, industrial carbon management and the future of sustainable industry.

  • The series of engagements began in May at the Green Transitions Forum 5.0 in Sofia, where Mr. Bojinov joined the panel dedicated to industrial decarbonisation. In his intervention, he emphasised the need for concrete actions, innovation and long‑term strategic commitment to support the sector’s climate objectives.

  • In November, he represented the company at the public hearing of the ITRE Committee of the European Parliament, dedicated to carbon capture and storage and carbon capture and utilisation (CCS/CCU) technologies. As Project Lead for ANRAV CCUS at Heidelberg Materials Devnya, he presented the industry perspective and outlined key regulatory, technical and infrastructural challenges affecting the deployment of carbon capture technologies across Europe.

  • The year concluded with his participation in the Industrial Carbon Management Forum in Athens in December. Throughout the two‑day event, Mr. Bojinov contributed to discussions on the implementation of strategic net‑zero projects, cross‑border cooperation and the development of a comprehensive European carbon management infrastructure.

Through its involvement in these three major events, Heidelberg Materials Bulgaria reaffirmed its commitment to the European industrial decarbonisation agenda and its active role in the transition towards a low‑carbon economy.
